
Early Professionals Special Interest Group
The Early Professionals Special Interest group (EPSIG) is for physical therapist and physical therapist assistant professionals within 5 years post-graduation, to meet, confer, and promote the interests of the profession.

Mission Statement
- Leadership: Promote and develop leadership skills, qualities, and attributes amongst early professionals within the professional and clinical setting as they represent the success and future of the physical therapy organization.
- Mentorship: Provide mentorship to early professionals through collaboration, connection, and guidance provided by experienced professionals to foster professional and personal growth within the first five years of practice.
- Membership: Promote a community of membership, participation, and growth amongst early professionals to further expand the practice of physical therapy within the FPTA and APTA.
- Networking: Organize opportunities for students, early professionals, and experienced individuals to join in-person events, online meetings, and social gatherings, as a way to exchange information, seek advice, collaborate on projects, and create opportunities for professional growth.
- Professional Development: Encourage and promote professional development through involvement in community service, continuing education, and leadership opportunities at the personal, state, and national level.
