FPTA Spring Conference - March 19-20
The FPTA Spring Conference will be at the Renaissance Resort at the World Golf Resort, St. Augustine, March 19-20.  The conference offers 12.5 CEH's and begins at 12 noon on March 19 and concludes by 5 pm on March 20.  The conference hotel rate is $129.  Call 1-800/266-9432  for the FPTA group rate.  Online registration is now open.  View the conference brochure.

Research Committee Announces Deadlines
The FPTA Research Committee has announced a Call for Abstracts, as well as deadlines for submitting for the 2010 Linda Crane Research Award.

Direct Access / Out of State Referrals
Do you know where to find "Direct Access" in the physical therapy statute?  Can you use a referral from a licensed physician who is not licensed in Florida?  This section gives members direct access to "Direct Access" information!

In Need of Licensing Information?
Go to the Board of Physical Therapy website to get information on the PT licensing examination, making application for license by endorsement and other pertinent physical therapy licensing information for Florida.  Current licenses will expire on November 30, 2011.  The licensing renewal deadline was November 30, 2009!
